The voices of the Cardencheros, polyphonic singers, are an allegory to suffering, a symbiosis between men and vegetation.
Traditionally, they sing their sorrows at sunfall. In the local landscapes, the sound travels through miles around, allowing the singers to locate each other in the distance.
